In light of the recent events in the world where people are targeting Asians, I felt that this project was something necessary to do. Being half Asian myself, I feel very strongly about the abuse certain individuals are inflicting on Asian communities. These posters aren't affiliated with any organisation, the intention is to have them posted on walls around cities with large Asian communities to showcase – and remind those who wish to do harm, that they are human too. With the corona virus, more negative press was pointed in the direction of Asians – and this left a huge door open for people to act out on baseless accusations in the media against a community of people who do not deserve to be attacked. This project is something I hope will resonate with those of sound mind and will make people from other backgrounds and ethnicities understand that Asian's are humans too and deserve to be treated normally and not blamed for a virus they have no control over.
